My perfect day would be determined by what fish I’m trying to catch and how I am going about it. If I’m aiming to catch largemouth bass I would prefer a relatively overcast day, so the fish aren’t instinctively pushed lower in the water column and into cover to hide from the sun. For any type of fishing its best to have little to no wind because it makes it easier to control and aim your cast, and if you are fishing bottom baits you are able to watch your line for movements that indicate a bite. If I’m fishing for carp I would prefer a nice sunny day, I don’t know if its true but I seem to have better fishing on a sunny day rather than not. And when I’m carp fishing I’m mainly sitting and waiting for a bite and it would suck to just sit in the rain.

If I could travel anywhere in the world for free I would go three places: The Amazon river, Thai land, or England. All these places are of interest to me because they all hold different and very special fish in their waters. All these places also have a very diverse fish population especially the Amazon river and Thai land. I would like to visit the Amazon river for its peacock bass, arapaima, and the famous piranha. Thai land for its obscure types of carp and catfish, and England for its world-renowned common carp and the wels catfish.
Should all college courses be one hundred percent online? yes, I believe all college courses should be online, to a certain extent. Some courses such as ones here at fleming require hands-on work. For some university courses, it is pointless to be required to attend classes. If these courses were online it would save students an abundance of money on supplies such as books. This would also save everyone money on housing and gas expenses which could go towards students tuition. This would also help reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere by eliminating commuting there and back from the college. Colleges save on expenses going toward the school and everything going on within it. Expenses such as maintaining the school, teaching equipment, sports equipment, and different clubs and activities. Since these expenses are eliminated the government will no longer have to fund these schools, therefore reducing taxes go towards that. Having online courses would give all students and teachers flexibility. Students can choose when to look over lessons and work on certain pieces of work while still meeting deadlines. Teachers are able to finish lessons whenever they choose and post them online and could get ahead of schedule, this would also give teachers more time to mark. The older students and teachers with family-related responsibilities would be given more time and flexibility to deal with family duties or issues. Duties like watching over and raising children, and issues such as ill family members.

The Coyote also is known as the Canis Latrans is a wolf-like wild dog native to North America. The Coyotes fur is a brownish grey colour, with a mainly white underbody. It has long triangular ears, great for hearing prey whilst hunting, and a long narrow muzzle. They have black noses and bright yellow eyes. The easiest way to distinguish a coyote from other wild dogs is their tail as they run. Dogs run with their tails up, wolves with their tails straight, and coyotes with it down.
The Coyote is one of the most adaptable canines in the world, which means they live in a wide variety of areas. Coyotes can live in many areas such as “sagebrush-steppe, woodlands, prairies, deserts, oak savannahs, subalpine forests, alpine meadows, open ponderosa pine forests, and temperate rainforests. Coyotes have even adapted to living in suburban neighborhoods and even in large urban parks!”(wildernesscollege.com) The biggest factors that determine a good Coyote habitat is a healthy amount of local prey, areas good for denning with cover such as trees, and rocks. Coyotes are also fond of living near ledges(where two different habitats meet) due to the advantage it gives them while hunting. For example, where a pasture and a forest meet, this would give coyotes a great advantage by allowing them to wait amongst the trees of the forest for pray wandering in the pasture.
Coyotes diets are mainly carnivorous but can be very flexible because Coyotes are such opportunistic animals. Their diets can consist of ” rabbits, small rodents, ground birds, fish, frogs, snakes, lizards, invertebrates, carrion, fruits, and nuts. “(Filip Tkaczyk) If it’s an urban environment Coyotes diets may consist of more garbage and scrap food, and may also consist of small pets like dogs and cats. Due to Coyotes being opportunistic animals they take advantage of what the given season has to offer such as blackberries in the late summer, apples in the fall, and young rabbits or other animals in the early summer(Filip Tkaczyk)
Due to the flexibility of the coyote’s habitat and diet they live in many different countries and even continents. Coyotes are found in all parts of the united states including Alaska and discluding Hawaii, and most of Canada excluding the farthest parts of northern Canada due to its extreme low temperatures. They can also be found in some parts of South America such as Mexico.
Coyotes are generally monogamous creatures that keep a single mate for several years of their lifetime. Coyotes generally breed in midwinter(near the end of December) and the pups are born in the early spring. The litter size is dependent on many things but is generally around four to seven pups. The pups are nursed and born within a den and after the pups are a little older and finished nursing the den becomes abandoned by the pack. Coyotes grow to adult size within nine months, this is around the time when the pups start to leave their parents although some stay with their parents for a longer period of time.

Tuition should not be free for students and why is someone entitled to a free higher education. First of all, where would this “free” schooling funding come from, taxpayers? If someone wishes to educate themselves further they should be responsible for paying for their own schooling and if they cannot afford it there are a few different options such as O.S.A.P funding.
If college and university became free I speculate that taxes would grow largely for all income brackets causing the overall average net worth of Canadians to decrease due to a higher percentage of their income being taken away. This would cause the lowest income percentage for Canada to grow and would take more money away from the poor.
I think making college free will perpetuate the idea to young adults that they are entitled to having everything handed to them and deserving of things without hard work. I believe this mentality that is created by the far left ideology will cause lower grades and will create unattentive and unenthusiastic students because they are used to having everything handed to them without hard work. This will also create poor unqualified employees that feel they don’t have to work hard to get a job. If I am correct about this then some of the taxpayer’s money that went to one of these careless students was just wasted.
I believe that when you are paying for something yourself you are more likely to treat it with care and ensure it lasts. There are already plenty of students that do jack shit in their courses, so free college will allow more of these types of students to just say “hey its free, why not” and continue to waste taxpayer money
When I first read the article from week three my first reaction was shocked, because of the fact that there is an organization that releases a list of endangered animals every few years. Just the fact that we need an organization to bring this to our attention to ensure we don’t drive certain species extinct is scary. I also found it surprising that no one really paid them much attention, which is also scary because it shows that people simply don’t care.
All the information in “60% of the world’s wildlife has been wiped out since 1970” is completely foreign to me so I can’t really say if it’s changed my mind or not. The article has definitely convinced and educated me on a subject that is quite new to me. The article talks about how in previous years they would take a biodiversity survey on birds living in the remote mountains of Peru which is virtually untouched, so you would expect the biodiversity there to stay at a constant level. Due to such low pressures the birds live in, somehow they are affected by carbon emissions and global warming. Eight of the species previously found in the mountains were not reported there in the biodiversity survey.
I think a big part of the change lies Individually because……, and I know it sounds cliche, but if everyone would do a little it would change a lot. For example, if everyone drove electric cars and used less electricity within the home this would help a considerable amount. I also believe that responsibility lies upon the government, more specifically it’s up to the federal government to put laws into place to protect the environment, then its the responsibility of the provinces and municipalities to uphold and enforce the laws.

I believe that my greatest strength in my writings is my ability to make a strong, and compelling argument. Either through using facts to reinforce my ideas or by exploiting literary devices such as my diction, euphemism, dysphemism. If the point of view i’m writing from is a difficult one to defend or make an argument for, these literary devices allow me to make a somewhat believable, or coherent argument. To help myself get in the proper head-space to write a paper with a topic i don’t agree with, I like to read research from that point of view to help get an idea of why people take that side, and allow myself to be convinced if possible
My species is the ruby breasted hummingbird I used Cornell universities article about the bird for information. I think this article was intended for people who enjoy bird watching and or people who are trying to learn more about the bird. Yes, the information was useful and functional from the perspective of the suspected audience, because it talked about how to attract the bird and their habits and migration patterns. The information was relevant as I just said and yes it is current the article was published in 2017. The article doesn’t give a specific name of the writer but we know it’s from Cornell University, this university researches wildlife and topics such as this so I’m sure they’re a credible source. Since the info in the article is so brief and short the only thing I would improve is the lack of detail and more information.
Currency: The information is current the article was published in 2017. This doesn’t affect the information very much because of the topic. this article does not contain links I think this is because it is a university and they have conducted their own research.
Relevance: This relates to my topic obviously because it’s about the species im researching. The intended audience is bird connoisseurs or people looking for a brief understanding of the bird. The information is fairly easy to understand yet not too simple
Authority: this article was published by Cornell University. Im not sure the authors name but they are affiliated with Cornell University which makes them qualified. No contact info
Accuracy: not sure where the info is from there are no links. the info is supported by research of the university. the tone is unbiased. only scammed through it but I didn’t see any spelling or grammar errors
Purpose: The purpose is to inform and teach. The intention of the article is clear. The article is fact oriented not propaganda. No political, ideological, cultural, political, or institutional biases
