I believe that writing is the inappropriate congregation of the ideas, thoughts, quotes on a white sheet of paper. Whereas, rewriting is evaluating and refining it. rewriting includes deletion, addition, and modification of all that stuff. In the article, “True writing is Rewriting” by Beth Shope, he mentioned that it’s nothing written, it’s rewritten. This is probably because the second draft is always more sophisticated and elegant than the first one. Whenever I try to write my first draft, I usually produce an unpolished draft. That had an unvaried syntax and limited vocabulary. While rewriting it, I used to delete, retype and replace a lot of sentences and phrases until a pleasing draft is produced.

After reading all three imperative secrets for better writing from the article “True writing is Rewriting”. I like “Once is not enough” secret the most. I like this secret the most because it plays an important role in my writing skills. I never write the whole draft at once. The first step that I make is that I write all the words, phrases and quotes on a piece of paper that is related to the topic. Secondly, I create an outline of the draft in my mind. Such as the number of paragraphs, what information to include in which paragraph. In the third step, I combine all those ideas and the outline into a single passage which is my first draft. At last, I acutely go through my first draft and enhance it until a graceful draft is achieved.
